We are no longer accepting financial donations for our project Masks for Heroes.
All financial donations received between March 21, 2020, and May 31, 2020, will be used to create and ship masks to front line heroes. Any excess donations received during this timeframe will be donated towards a hospital and medical supply organization.
Your donations have helped our volunteer make, donate, and ship 42,716 cloth masks to front line heroes as of May 31, 2020. We thank you for supporting this project!
Our mission at Trauma Focused Therapeutic Community (TFTC) Gardens, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is to create spaces designed using trauma-informed research focused on building resiliency skills for at-risk youth across North Carolina and beyond.
TFTC Gardens is a step forward in social equity for at-risk populations – a space, where for the first time, deeper self-learning can take place. Resiliency skills will reduce the risk of suicide, improve mental well-being and provide a skill set to help reduce the risk of recidivism. We cannot expect young people to know what they don’t know.
Our aim is that these spaces will provide a legacy of emotional expression and recovery.
Thank you for creating an exciting positive social change and helping make trauma-focused therapeutic community gardens a reality.
Why is Trauma Focused Therapeutic Community (TFTC) Gardens coordinating this effort?Â
Our founder is a nurse working within her community and she understands first hand the dire need for masks for all front line heroes. She has transitioned our cause temporarily to support our local communities during this global pandemic.
Disclaimer:Â
We understand that these cloth masks are not a replacement for n95 masks and they need to be used correctly to reduce the spread of disease. This website has been set up to maintain safety by providing instructions for making the cloth masks, washing the masks per CDC guidelines, transporting them and providing instructions to those who wear them.
